Reverting to a Previous Color with the History Palette

Each time a swatch has its color properties modified, Tangerine archives the color as it appeared before it was edited in the Swatch Information History Palette. This allows you to track incremental changes and, at any time, to revert back to an earlier version of the swatch.

An archived color can also be used to make a new swatch.

To revert to a previous color in a swatch's History Palette:

In the Palette window, move the cursor over the swatch.
Open the Swatch Information panel by clicking on the blue and white icon – – that appears in the top left corner of the swatch.
Select the 'History' button in the toolbar.
In the History Palette, select the color you want to revert to, then click the 'Revert' button below the History Palette.

To make a color held in a swatch's History Palette into a new color swatch:

In the Palette window, move the cursor over the swatch that contains the archived color in its History Palette.
Open the Swatch Information panel by clicking on the blue and white icon – – that appears in the top left corner of the swatch.
Select the 'History' button in the toolbar.
In the History Palette, hold down the 'control' key and click on the archived swatch that you wish to make into a new color swatch. A contextual menu for that archived swatch will appear. Select the 'New Palette Color' menu item. The Swatch Information panel will close and the archived swatch will appear in the displayed palette in the Palette window.
