Creating a New Color and Setting its Color Values

To create and assign a new color swatch:

Click the 'New Color with Color Values' toolbar icon – – in the Palette window. The Swatch Information panel will open to the color adjustment controls.
Use the color component sliders or enter color values in the number fields to adjust the color. Use the pop-up buttons to the right of the color preview box to select color profiles and color models.
Click the 'tick' toolbar icon – – to save your new color swatch.

Note: When you create a color using the above method, your new swatch is automatically assigned a base color. The base color provides you with an initial (or default) color that you modify into the color you want. You can choose the base color in the General Settings window. Use the base color to configure an initial color model (RGB, CMYK or Grayscale) and color profile for each new color you create. For more information see General Settings – An Overview.
