Avoiding Identical Colors

You can avoid inputting an identical color by enabling the 'Avoid identical colors in a palette' option. Note: this option only affects the input of new colors. It does not prevent:

an existing, identical color from being transferred from another palette,
you from creating a new color swatch that is identical to a color already in the palette, or
you from modifying an existing swatch's color into the same color as another swatch that is also already in the palette.

To prevent identical colors in a palette, select the 'Avoid identical colors in palette' checkbox in the Palettes Manager window. For more information see The Palettes Manager Window – An Overview.
