Adding and Removing Palettes

There are three ways to create a new palette:

  • Click the 'New Palette' toolbar icon – New Palette Icon – in the Palette window.
  • Select 'New' in either the Tangerine menu or the Palette Title Bar pop-up menu.
  • Open the Palettes Manager window by selecting the 'Palettes' menu item in the Tangerine menu and then click the 'New' button.

You will be asked to name a palette once you've created it using the menu or toolbar shortcut method.

There are three ways to remove a palette:

  • Select 'Remove' from the Tangerine menu. This will remove the palette currently displayed in the Palette window.
  • Select 'Remove' from the Palette Title Bar pop-up menu. This will remove the palette currently displayed in the Palette window.
  • Open the Palettes Manager window by selecting the 'Palettes' menu item in the Tangerine menu. Then select the palette you wish to remove in the Palettes Table and click the 'Remove' button.

When you remove a palette, the swatches that belonged to the palette are transferred to the Trash. If you accidentally delete a palette, you should create a new palette, title it and move the color swatches from the Trash into the new palette.
