Using Tangerine Color Picker to Add Colors

Colors held in Tangerine palettes can also be accessed through the Colors panel using the Tangerine Color Picker.

Tangerine must be running in the background for the Color Picker to be able to access the palettes. If Tangerine is not already running, you can launch it from within the Colors panel.

To add a color to Tangerine using the Tangerine Color Picker:

  1. Open the Colors panel in the application you are working in.
  2. Selected the Tangerine Color Picker icon in the Colors panel toolbar. It may already be selected.
  3. Click the Input button – located below the color preview box in the Color panel – to add the color to the palette.

The Tangerine Color Picker does not allow identical colors to be added to a palette – the Input button will be disabled if the color already exists. Colors with a transparency or an alpha channel are added to palettes as opaque colors. For more information see Introducing the Tangerine Color Picker.
